Today I witnessed a
miracle, not just any miracle but a once in a lifetime miracle.
The time was 4:37. I was literally on top of my Explorer sealing leaks with gorilla tape for cars and silicon sealant - yep, that is a thing. When I realized that the truck I was going to use to evacuate from the hurricane was not registered. I worried I might have all kinds of trouble, if I get pulled over, out of state, with an unregistered vehicle. The police in the South are not exactly known for their sense of humor. The DMV (Department of Motor Vehicles) was closing at 5:00, which was only 23 minutes away.
I told Gary to find the paperwork for the car because we had to go to the DMV.
I climbed off the car, found my shoes, bra, and keys,
By 4:41 we were on our way to the DMV.
I live about a mile and a half from the DMV and used back roads so I would hit no lights.
Here is the amazing thing, by 4:53, only 12 minutes after I left my home, I walked out of the DMV with my car registration in hand. If that is not a modern miracle, I do not know what is.
